Question about dress to wear to wedding/reception?
Ok don’t laugh I have never been to a church wedding. All the weddings I have been to have been outdoor weddings or casual type weddings. I have to go to my brother in laws wedding in July and it is in a church. Is it okay to wear like an knee length sleeveless dress and maybe wear a shrug while in church and then take the shrug off for the reception? Also are you supposed to change your outfit from the wedding and change to go to the reception. I’m not in the wedding just a guest. Thanks in advance!
I was thinking about this dress, it is knee length, with some killer heels what do you guys think…. be honest, I’m 26 yrs old.

yes I like that dress, black is ‘the’ color to wear to weddings believe it or not. granted in the summer it can be hot to wear black- literally- but I went to a wedding in Feb. and was the only gal not wearing black. I usually do tho. that newport dress is great, and you can wear it again to other events. and perfectly suitable for church. it’s a good idea to bring a shrug or wrap with you for the ceremony because some churches (catholic) require shoulders to be covered. no you don’t have to change for the reception, you just wear the same thing all day.
